This is a short story (or flash fiction) that I wrote during my senior year at Millersville University. It is based on a poem that I wrote about two years prior called "Pisces." Some of the phrases in this piece are taken directly from that poem and it follows the same narrative structure. I like to think that this is my first successful attempt at fiction. I had dabbled in fiction previously, but this is the only piece of fiction that I have written that I would consider finished at the moment.
